How to record your video
No fancy gear needed. Your phone is all it takes. Follow these simple steps, send it our way, and we’ll take it from there.
Start recording Sharing a finished video
The most important rule: always hold your phone SIDEWAYS.
Tall (portrait) video won’t work for us. Wide (landscape) is what we need.
iPhone

Set up your camera
- Open Settings, then Camera, then Record Video
- Choose 4K at 24 fps for the best quality

Record
- Open Camera and swipe to VIDEO
- Turn your phone sideways
- Tap the red button to start, tap again to stop

Send it (pick one)
Option A: WeTransfer (easiest)
- Go to wetransfer.com in Safari and tap +
- Pick your video from Photos
- Enter story@martinpictures.com and tap Transfer
Option B: iCloud link
- In Photos, select your video and tap Share
- Tap Copy iCloud Link
- Email the link to story@martinpictures.com

Set up your camera
- Open Camera and tap the settings gear
- Find Video Quality or Video Resolution
- Choose 4K or UHD, and 24 fps if you see it

Record
- Switch to VIDEO mode
- Turn your phone sideways
- Tap the red button to start, tap again to stop

Send it with WeTransfer
- Go to wetransfer.com in your browser and tap +
- Find and select your video
- Enter story@martinpictures.com and tap Transfer
Send all videos to story@martinpictures.com
A few quick tips
- Find good light, like a window in front of you
- Hold the phone steady or use a tripod
- Look at the camera if you can
- Reading a line from your notes? Look at the camera and say it in your own words
- Double check you’re sideways (landscape)
- Make sure you have enough storage space first
- WeTransfer is free and works on every phone
